A Historical Educative Train Tourism from Bogor to Jakarta with SD Marsudirini

Lukman Septaekwara, Staff of Indonesian Railways Heritage and Conservation Department gave a brief history of Bogor Station to the students of SD Marsudirini Parung.
This rail lines from Bogor to Jakarta was built by StaatsSpoorwegen Company in 1873 which appeal on this event of Historical Tourism from Bogor to Jakarta on Tuesday, April 19, held by Indonesian Railways Conservation and Heritage Department and SD Marsudirini Parung, Bogor.

On the journey, students was explained about the history of Jakarta – Bogor rail route and also about the figurine of Head of Railway line (PPKA)
The journey began by Commuter Line from Bogor to Jakarta Kota Station, which was explained by heritage staff to the students from Marsudirini elementary. These elementary students from 3rd and 4th grade were enthusiast to ask a lot of questions and participated on the question and answer session.
When they arrived at Jakarta Kota Station, the students were informed about the history of Jakarta Station which was established on 1870. Jakarta Kota Station was opened on August 19, 1929 by General Governor A.C.D. de Graeff and planned by Frans Johan Louwrens Ghijsels, a Netherlands architect who was born in Tulangagung. Furthermore, students visit the Mandiri Bank Museum. After the visit to Mandiri Bank Museum, the group went back to Bogor by Commuter Line train.
